We are seeking an experienced Local Government attorney to help us expand and serve in our newest office, located in the vibrant Virginia Beach Town Center district. We also are seeking to grow our other offices, including in Northern Virginia. This is a unique opportunity to practice true Local Government Law while enjoying the advantages of private practice. Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active member of the Virginia State Bar
• Five or more years of experience practicing Local Government Law in Virginia
• Strong understanding of municipal operations, FOIA, zoning, procurement, governance, and public meetings
• Existing relationships or experience with localities in Hampton Roads is a plus

Your Role

• Advise local governments on legal matters including governance, contracts, land use, and public meetings
• Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, and legal opinions
• Represent localities in administrative and legal proceedings
• Stay current on legal developments affecting municipal clients
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across offices to deliver integrated legal services
